Meet Caitlyn!

We’re happy to introduce Workforce Development Coordinator, Caitlyn Clements!

Caitlyn grew up in Bass River, NS, and attended Dalhousie University in Halifax for a B.A., double majoring in Economics and International Development Studies. After her studies, Caitlyn stayed in the city for a couple of years before spending a 14 month stint in Labrador and then 5 years in northern Saskatchewan. She has an 11 year old rescue beagle that has been by her side through all the moves.

Caitlyn has always had a community focus in both her work and volunteer life. She has been an active member of Search and Rescue for many years, a board member for the local housing authority and a participant in MMIWG and Every Child Matters fundraising/events. She is passionate about people and wants to see everyone be given the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and safe life.

In her spare time, Caitlyn does beadwork as well as hide and fur sewing. You can also find her enjoying a good book alongside a strong cup of coffee. Having said that however, Caitlyn is equally happy kayaking, camping, hiking, etc. She lives by the motto “it’s impossible to waste time if you’re outside”.

In her new role, Caitlyn is looking forward to meeting new people and hearing about their experiences and perspectives. “I am happy to have the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experiences to my ‘home turf’. When I couple that with my interest in food security and sustainability, along with my experiences in economics/labour, it makes the WFD coordinator position an ideal fit.”
