The Department of Agriculture has an entrance scholarship of at least $2500 available to support your first year of study in an agricultural degree program at a Canadian university (the amount may be re-evaluated based on financial need). In addition to receiving the scholarship, you will also have a summer job with the Department of Agriculture after completing your first year. You will receive a salary for your work (~$10,000) and will gain valuable work experience and contacts in the agriculture industry, which will help you narrow down the kind of work you’d like to do in the future.
This scholarship is for any Mi’kmaw students (secondary & mature) heading into their first year enrolled in their first year of a B.Sc. (Agriculture) program at a Canadian university.
The deadline to apply is April 30th 2022.
