As fall approaches the NS Federation of Agriculture farm and workforce development team is looking at courses to run over the winter months. For the past few years, courses have been arranged and offered through the Workplace Education Initiative of the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration. They offer many valuable courses on communications, finances, leadership, marketing, business, and more.
Courses are delivered in four-hour online classes, one day a week for ten consecutive weeks to provide forty hours of instruction at no charge to participants. Certificates are given on completion (minimum of 80% attendance and participation).
You must be employed or self-employed to participate in these courses.
Each participant that registers will have a 30-minute Individual Needs assessment conducted by the instructor to ensure the course meets your needs.
To offer the courses of the most value to our agriculture sector, please help us select the courses that best meet your needs. Use these links to view the courses and course descriptions and to let us know which you might be interested in taking.
