The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture will coordinate five courses to be offered virtually in the 2025 winter semester, from January through March. These Workplace Education courses are made possible by collaboration with the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration and were chosen in response to feedback from NSFA members.

Each course is 40 hours long, presented in four-hour time slots one day per week for ten weeks. Courses are open to NSFA members and other interested individuals in the wider agricultural community.  We need ten participants to hold a course.

These opportunities are funded through the Canada-Nova Scotia Workplace Development Agreement meaning there is no cost to you for these courses. There is an expectation for at least 80% attendance and participation in the course. Workplace education programs are available to all working Nova Scotians.

The courses for January 2025 are:

Financial Fundamentals Level 1 – Tuesdays from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm beginning January 14

Financial Fundamentals Level 2 – Thursdays from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm beginning January 16

Excel Level 1 – Wednesdays from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm beginning January 8

Marketing For Business – Wednesdays from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm beginning January 15

Website Design Level 1 – Thursdays from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm beginning January 16
