Farm Safety Nova Scotia
Help keep yourself, workers, family, and community safe with support from Farm Safety Nova Scotia. Farm Safety Nova Scotia is a not–for–profit organization that works with Nova Scotia farms to keep farmers, their families, and their employees safe. All registered farm members of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture are voting members of FSNS, who can participate in member meetings, and provide direction on our mandate. However, whether a voting member or not, all registered farms can access services from FSNS. You can find resources and factsheets, training and workshops, and farm safety plans on the Farm Safety Nova Scotia website.
There is a variety of online and in-person training offered through Farm Safety Nova Scotia. Get in touch to see how Farm Safety can support your business.
Farm Safety also works to support the mental health of farmers and the farming community with the We Talk. We Grow campaign. We Talk. We Grow. is an initiative of Farm Safety Nova Scotia raising awareness and taking action to protect and nurture the mental health and well-being of Nova Scotia’s farming community, and enhance and maintain a culture where mental health is valued, prioritized and protected. You will find resources developed to optimize stress-free farm communities and prevent mental health challenges; and when mental health challenges occur – we have created readily accessible, culturally appropriate, and most of all effective, programs and supports.
