The New Farm Technician Trade
Manages on-farm operations andhas knowledge of crops andlivestock as well as operations,maintenance and some repair offarm equipment and machinery.
Ratio: 1 Journeyperson can supervise 2 Apprentices
Apprenticeship will have:
- 2 levels each level with
- 1800 on-the-job hours
- a multi-week technical training session
- 3,600 hours total required as an Apprentice
- 5,400 hours required to challenge the exam as a Trade Qualifier
